Flipping out of their brains

Wide-eyed. Confused. Lost.
Freshmen. Somewhat gullible and inwardly fearful of their new, crowded surroundings, their wall of petrifying fear, embarrassment, and hall-way awkwardness usually erodes away by the end of the first week. Once they finish flipping out of their brains attempting to understand the rotator schedule, they transform from schedule-clutching creatures to swaggering little punks pumped with bravado.
Erin and Tina's initiation into the Bulldog life went smoothly, with both of them picking up new friends and acquaintances by the second or third day of school. Erin did great at her volleyball try-outs due to her past experience playing in middle school, and Tina is planning on trying-out for basketball season. So far they enjoy being a bulldog.
